Hi Morcatz,
That should work... Maybe you have an old version of Java that need to be uninstall.
Can you show us a screenshot of your Program and Features window, in the Control Panel, to see all the Java installed?

Getting the same message when I try to run Magelo Sync:
No JVM could be found on your system.
Please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME
to point to an installed 64-bit JDK or JRE or Download a JRE from
www.java.com.
I have Version 8 Update 40 (build 1.8.0_40-b26), both the 64 and 32 bit, installed on my Win 7 64bit system. I do not have older versions installed. It has been a while since I last sync'd, so not sure what version of Java worked at that time.

After the Glyph update a few months ago I can't play Rift anymore cause Glyph keeps crashing so I can't play it. I have uninstalled both Glyph and Rift.
So now I don't have Glyph and Rift installed, I upgraded to Java 8 Update 40 and re-downloaded and installed Magelo Sync and it seems to be working fine now. But now I can't play Rift it is pointless.

I don't ever have multiple Java updates installed. I have been using Open Office since I formatted my system and installed Windows 8.1x64 Pro without any issues and with multiple updates of Java and Open Office.

After a of bit research, tests and attempting to fix/run the 64bit version of Sync ([Installed Drive]:\Program Files\Magelo\Magelo Sync\MageloSync64.exe), it clearly does not work with the 64bit version of Win 7 Pro. I did get the 32bit version of Sync to work just fine, same directory, MageloSync.exe. Odd error messages when I try to start my fav game via Sync (see below), but at least the sync worked manually for my characters.
