Just ran the sync 9 times and still showing gear in my profile that I am not wearing. Shows the gear I had on nearly a week ago to be exact.

lol strike that it was operator error. I was in my archon spec not my pyro and was looking at the pyro spec.

Yep! I guess you synchronized your character in a different role that the one set by default. Maybe you didn't noticed that you can also update the role you want to show in your profile by default in My characters > Edit > Identity.
