* I ran CCleaner to delete internet history.Only then could I successfuly download Magelo Update on my Windows xp Home Edition operating system.

Weird...it wasnt working 2 days ago, now its working fine from Desktop again heh.

The fix for my problem was simple. Go to contorl pannel and delete all previous java updates (leave 6.1 which is the latest.) Delete Magelo update also. Come to the web site and reload Magelo Update. That is it, you don't even need to reboot. This fix worked for 2 different pc's (both running XP.) Hope this helps

My fix was much simpler, just uninstall Magelo from the Control Panel...Add Remove Programs, then go to the web site, click Magelo Update, and click Launch Magelo Update. Now I can launch the update program from my desktop again.
Noted this problem began in about the same time Java (All Hail Almighty Sun (bow bow), who we just KNOW isn't anything like Microsoft, heh heh) pushed an update to me. Seems uninstall reinstall = reset in this case. Try it, if you are having problems you don't have anything to lose.

Is this still being looked into? I cannot connect from my desktop and cannot find a way to download an updated shortcut.
