sync detects my character, however the "sync button" is missing. Logs:

Same here but no sync detects.
Get this message in small windows :
eqgame.exe has been recently updated, Magelo Sync will be updated soon to support this new version.
Using Magelo Sync 4.5.4

Spartias, Magelo Sync has been patched, you should be able to sync your toons just fine now.
Chewi, let me know if you still have issue with your toon. If you still do, can you try to open the guild window and browse the list of your guild members. I am wondering if that would solve your issue.

had the sync button back after the last patch, but now again today, its missing. tired opening the guild window, and restarted sync, still no sync button,
