This large crystalline vein appears to pulse with death energy. Fragments of this crystal appear to have been chipped off and scatted in the area by the local trogs and trolls. Bartholomew Cleary would likely appreciate a sampling of this material for his research.

Death-magic can affect the living and dead, but this quartz you found also appears to be contaminated with death energy! If inanimate objects can become corrupted... then that would be bad. I'll run some additional tests and try to figure out whether death magic can truly contaminate gems and other objects. This is one theory I hope to prove wrong.
