By the looks of this Storm Legion Comlink, Crucia's forces are sending data on how Ahnket creates simulacrums. Destroying the Comlink would prove fruitless as another would replace it. But if you were to tamper with the data, you could make sure the Storm Legion only receives false data without them being the wiser.
