Description

[%NAME], the Lord-Protector of the Icewatch has told me of your hunt for the traitor Chekaroth. I am afraid I can see why he was always one step ahead of you. I can sense her touch on you. You will need to collect the Essence of Life from the depths of Greenscale's Lair, the Essence of Death from within the River of Souls, and the Essence of Fire within Mount Carcera. Once they are gathered, place the Essence of Life and the Essence of Death within the brazier we will have placed in the middle of yon ice lake. Then place the Essence of Fire in the brazier. The flames will burst both other Essences, and the explosions of opposing energy should purify your mind. You should take a trusted companion with you - you may need help.

I had faith that you would succeed, Ascended. I sense not the presence of Crucia within your mind. This gives me hope, she can be beaten.

The Essence in Greenscale is at the end of hid tail on the ground, a Green Crystal

Did Essence of Fire as Warrior without a healer at 79753 health. Get on closest rock and kill all mobs near you. Get health at highest by eating foods that add health (used Sea Pea Porridge) and added an endurance to my gloves. Activated Consuming Flame to shield me for 25000 damage and Crest of Entropy (shield 85% damage), jumped in lava. You go under so you have to look up to get hand on crystal. Collected and then began jumping back to rocks. Did not die and finished quest. Trick will be to get your health up and apply any and all damage shields/buffs. It's doable solo. Essence of Death is purple crystal at reward chest by Chronicle exit.

Do the Chronicle versions of Greenscale's Blight (555, 300) and River of Souls(593,1050). You have to beat each to get the essences

Great for Riftmaster, I could not do it as a 62 warrior. As you go under when you jump in, it takes a few seconds before you can click the item. By that time I was dead. I read that it takes 5 seconds before you have it, so no way I can solo this at this moment. Try again at 70. I have spend a few hours on this quest line and feel pretty disappointed now. Trion should know that most people have to solo quests as these zones are almost empty.

Could finally do it as a 65 warrior, using Rift Shield and Fusion of Flesh in tank gear. When you get in lava, it does not react exactly as water. Aim immediately above you where hopefully the shard will be.
