Ashenfell is not all like this blasted land beneath Mount Pyre. We are in its wilderness, and the true evil lies behind the impenetrable Gates of Flame. Before we avoided that sinful expanse of the Alaviax's control. Now we must breach their defenses to walk among them, once we are through I know of a place that will grant us the respite we need. The Gates of Flame are well guarded and it will not be easy to fight our way through. I am hoping that Carlliazidajjala was being sarcastic when she said that the crown only conveyed political power. We could use some mystical power to fight through the very powerful guards that prevent the souls from escaping the wrath of the Alaviax.

It may not seem so when in Carli's presence, but I am glad she is with us on this endeavor. When we were together, long ago, there was no task beyond our combined efforts. Perhaps those days are gone, but I believe any soul can find redemption, and pray to the Vigil that finding that redemption is a part of Carli's fate. Carli's plan is risky, but I believe it will work. It must work.
