Prophecy of Peace

I don't think that it would be right to have this tower be his final resting place. He had many old friends in Uttila who remember him from this world and others. I do not think he believed he would fit into any afterlife in this universe, so when I say lay him to rest, perhaps I say that more for our sake than his.

I never thought I would grieve for Orphiel. I hated him with a fiery passion of the condemned lands of flame for so long. Even on this journey with you and Asha, I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop and for him to turn upon us. But in retrospect, I think he was just scared. He wasn't an evil man, just one with a long and conflicted past. A past that threatened to overtake him at any moment. He could not confide in his friends, or let his enemies know what was coming. The Vigil judge all souls in Creation, but Orphiel was not of our Creation. The Gods of the Tenebreans were defeated and subjugated by their Ascended. Perhaps he is right that there is no one left to judge his sin, nor paradise left to reward him for his heroism. Then I will offer up a prayer to a conflicted, chaotic cosmos to let his soul at least find peace.
