This ancient tabled it inscribed with the following: "The Convocation is at hand and these fools have no idea I've wrought their doom! I've sabotaged the displacer, which will cause an apocalypse worthy of Maelforge! I leave this tablet behind so all will know the name of Ekala! Ekala the Wanton! Ekala, destroyer of Eth!"

Upon completion

This is an incredible find, [%Name]! The Tablet of Ekala at last reveals the name of the person who destroyed the Eth Empire. I've never heard of Ekala... and now I wonder if such evil should be made famous. Perhaps it's best for some secrets to remain unknown.

Begins on the southwestern end of the Lantern Hook rock formation, outside. At approximately 7481, 6362 you can climb the rock formation to a tree. At the root of the tree is a hole that drops into the rock. Jump into the hole, landing on a ledge far below, where you can loot the quest item.

this is actually the start point for another quest with similar name, "Fall Tale". still haven't found the starter for this quest

This quest is located in Redoubt. Go into the tower, kill Morkael, click the blue orb that sends you to the top...jump out of the window and land on the 2nd level (I'm a rogue, so I jumped into the shaft and used retreat to land on it) and loot the chest...contains the Tablet of Ekala.

kitty gave excellent directions ... rogue retreat ability made jumping off and then being thrown backwards onto the 2nd level easy.

I am following Kitty's directions right now. They are spot on. Tower is at 8836, 6730. Took a couple of tries to get to the second level but I have just collected the Tablet.

Actually, the explanation is way more simple than what you read here, go to the top of the tower, go to the edge and look down, no jumping involve at all, no skills involved at all, you just fall down to the lower section of the tower and pick the quest item: Tablet of Ekala. That's it.

20 times I have fallen and 20 times I can get to the second level. this sucks

To fall properly, jump backwards. When you jump backwards, you arc out 50% less than you do jumping forward. You can also hop on the ledge, and walk off it backwards. This can also be key when gathering artifacts.

So much easier to go around the back of the tower and climb up to the landing, follow it around until you get to the chest
