To defend against the corruption of death, we must understand the taint it left upon this land. The black grove known as Blightweald still pulses with death energy, and undead still walk amongst the burnt trees. Bring me some plant samples from this place.

Take a look at the dark rings on the inside of these roots. This large one is likely the initial burst of death energy permeating the soil, from when the Ward first fractured. A second ring occurred shortly thereafter, perhaps a more localized blast of death energy. How very interesting.
