As you look through the records in this log book, you find a page containing hastily scratched notes and a rough drawing of a Fate Weaver. The notes indicate that Fate Weavers only truly die when the source of their webbing is destroyed. Their corpses must be burnt, or they'll just come back at a later point in the thread of time. Near the log book is a Portable Incinerator. However, it is only partially fueled. It seems the researchers began their work too late. You'll have to finish it.
