Kelari are by nature ambitious and power hungry, even power mad by some estimations, but Nyx was not at all unhinged. She was in complete control of everything, and everyone, around her, and the arts of the dominator have been passed down from her. She was meant to be the puppeteer, not the puppet. You must break Regulos's hold on her, and she can then lend her power to you.
