The Once and Future Rhen

If I am to be a Rhen, it will be here that I come to be known as such. When the skelf left our home seas of Kamoho, we took fragments of the coral that bloomed there and spread them to every sea we traveled to. But we still return to our original colony as a pilgrimage. That is why we climb up to Tarken. It preserves and entombs the past. I need to secure a coral cluster to rally others to me, but Grafter Seric is more concerned about the recent shaghi attacks and the Coral Shards they've stolen from skelf pilgrims.

Mammal, you are a strange hairy beast of a creature, but you have done a great thing for me. I know little of your dry world, and the scratchy ways of power and romance among your kind. But with skelf, whoever commands the school undergoes a wonderful change behind their scales. We Rhen become able to lay the clutch and choose our favorite jacks. You have unmanned me, Mammal, and I thank you for it. Now let us turn our thoughts from devoted pilgrims to vicious pirates. We should take over Port Scuddra.
