Ahnket Incursion

Bailghol's scouts have returned with dire news, but not from the Tuth'de castle, nor the Green Mother's lair. They say that Ahnket is marching an army into Xarth Mire! Perhaps we can play off one enemy against another? Up until now Ahnket has mostly observed the creatures that live upon her new world, at most killing a few in what almost could be called study. But this appears to be an army. Is Una's ritual so dangerous that even Ahnket is afraid? We see a land like this Xarth Mire and it is easy to see just the evil that resides within. The Tuath'de and their rituals, Nathairacha and her selfish hunger, or the hostile plants and animals that have been twisted by the evil magic of Xarth's blood. But it filled with small goodness, the small creatures of the mire, the boglings and their foolish capering.

If I ever seem cold or cruel to you, it is because the fate of an entire people has been upon my shoulders too often. I have had to struggle to make the right choice, not just the one that is easiest. I know you have had to do the same. It is a burden that weighs upon me. I am glad that I can share it with you. The onus of stopping Queen Una now falls upon us. Even if her plan didn't involve Telara's destruction, if it is not stopped Ahnket will destroy us all rather than let her complete it. We can no longer search for other solutions. We must besiege Una in her bone castle, and stop her or all our allies are doomed.
