It appears that Magelo is calculating AA's differently in the profile since the last patch. From my previous sync. My AA total dropped by about 600. Is this intended or is something broken?

Hi Gary5546, I would say intended. We are now displaying AA counts, just like ingame (unspent, assigned, spent) and the AA number displayed on the main area of the profile is the assigned AAs given that it is the one relevant to your character power and abilities. We will soon do something so people can display their spent AAs in their sigs and rank characters by their spent AAs.
