A good spot to farm this is in Freemarch. Near The Rill Pond, from 6648 5159 to 6600 5094 . There are 4 squirrels that spawn in the area, plus a mining, herb, and 2 wood nodes. Just keep running one end to the other hitting squirrels, shard hop, repeat. It got a lot easier after I made a 'target squirrel' macro (don't put in an autokill instant cast, as the corpses are too hard to see) for easy spotting.

Once you have completed the achievement, sell the tears. They are useless after that. You do not get credit as 'collected' if you mail them to an alt. I assume AH'ing them is just as useless. My main has 23 of them in his bag right now. But, only 4 are credited to the achieve so far.
